I was raised in Washington state where I spent most of my formative years surrounded by the wine and art culture of my home town, and the academic and distillery industry jobs of the house. My art practice has been a journey of projects over time, with a shift that led me across the country and into a whole new art practice. My work has been influenced by social cause, anthropological case study, scientific research, and literary interpretation.
